TRAINING PROGRAMME

Advancing AI & LLM Integration for Cities, Academics, and Industry

MOBILLITY is a 4-course training programme that combines applied, real-world learning with mobility-specific use cases. It enables participants to turn data, documents, and workflows into actionable insights with AI and LLM.
COURSE OVERVIEW

Bridging the gap between urban infrastructure and artificial intelligence.

MobiLLITY aims to close a real skills gap: mobility professionals, cities, and academics already work with large volumes of data, but they often lack the practical know-how to use AI and LLMs effectively.

We bridge the training gap by applying AI to core mobility tasks like policy analysis and urban planning. Our courses move users beyond basic chatbots toward professional, systematic workflows that make AI a practical tool for everyday mobility work.

Training Format

Hybrid: online and in-person workshops.

Duration

May to November 2026
Universities
- May
Companies
- July
Cities
- September

Hours

20h (4-6h per course)

Language

All training will be in English, with Portuguese and Spanish translations available.

Certificate

A certificate from EIT Urban Mobility. is awarded upon completion of the online course(s).

CHOOSE THE COURSE THAT BETTER FITS YOUR ROLE
OPEN TO EVERYONE

Course tailored for universities

Empowers students and faculty to transform academic research into actionable, real-world urban solutions.

Course tailored for Cities

The course provides officials and planners with the strategic insights needed to build smarter, more inclusive transit networks.

Course tailored for companies

The course scales innovation by connecting mobility tech and startups with the industry’s most influential decision-makers.

AI-Assisted Automation

This course teaches how to automate repetitive tasks, work with data files programmatically, and connect to AI tools via APIs

Course's objectives

What will the participants get from the course

Through a structured learning journey, mobiLLITY aims to:

Help

participants understand how LLMs work and where they can be useful in urban mobility.

Build

practical skills for solving mobility tasks such as policy support, citizen engagement, document drafting, and reporting.

Teach

participants to use LLMs for data exploration, cleaning, analysis, and visualisation with real mobility datasets.

Improve

the ability to evaluate AI outputs critically and spot errors or unreliable answers.

Introduce

simple Python-based automation to go beyond chat tools and streamline repetitive work.

Empower

participants to confidently apply AI in professional contexts, bridging the gap between theory and real-world practice.

MOBILLITY METHODOLOGY

A two-part journey: learn online, then apply it in person.

31lectures
  • Micro-lectures, quizzes and hands-on coding exercises in Google Colab — no live attendance required
  • Built on real artefacts: Eurostat KPIs, GTFS feeds, CSV fleet records, and mobility text corpora
  • AI coding assistants throughout; API access (OpenAI, Anthropic) required for the automation modules
  • Certificate on completing 7 core modules + exam; optional capstone earns Gold distinction
Step 2 · Optional

Format
In person, full day (~8h)
Participants
Limited availability
Language
Portuguese
Data used
ANSR & public road safety data
The day in four stages
  1. 1 Data preparation — cleaning and structuring data with LLM help
  2. 2 Exploratory analysis — natural-language queries to surface patterns
  3. 3 Visualisation & communication — charts and outputs for decision-makers
  4. 4 Data privacy & responsible use — redaction and what free-tier tools can see
Workshop 2 12 November 2026

Las Rozas, Spain
